The following
requirements have to be met for obtaining a Visa to Russia:

form. US and UK passport holders must use different visa application form: Russian visa application form for US & UK citizens. Please fill out the application online, print and
sign before
sending or it can be filled out if you intend to visit our office. If you fill application form by hand, please use BLACK INK ONLY.
one
passport size photo (3.5cm x 4.5). No older than 6 months. Front view including top of the shoulders. On
white background. Neutral face expression required. Sample.

Copy of the overseas emergency medical insurance policy
valid for travel to Russia if you are not a Canadian or US
citizen.
Non-Canadian applicants must provide the copy of the document confirming their current resident status in Canada (PR Card, Landed Document, Work Permit)
Former citizen of the USSR or of the Russian Federation emigrated from the USSR or from Russia, must submit: one of the documents which confirms that they are no longer citizens of the Russian Federation (so called "Visa to Israel" or stamp in their passport saying that they left for "permanent residence abroad" before the February 6, 1992, or Landed Document with lading date before February 6, 1992, or official document certifying that their Russian citizenship was abrogated), otherwise the applications will not be accepted.

* If you are travelling to visit your close relative who is terminally ill or to attend funeral of your close relative we can provide urgent (1-day) visa service. To proceed, additionally to the above mentioned documents you have to provide us with: 1)Copy of the medical certificate about the illness or Death Certificate of your close relative, 2)Confirmation of your relation to the relative, 3)Your written application, requesting urgent visa service due to the illness or death of close relative, indicating the address of stay while in Russia, 4)Payment of CAD470.00
